  1. This. Do I wish that hunter riders had more classical equitation? Absolutely. Equitation is certainly not going to make your ride worse. But in the hunters, your job is to make your HORSE look good, not you, and a lot of times, that means getting out of the horse’s way, slipping those reins, and sacrificing equitation in order to let your horse jump however it wants.
